USED Flat racks are the most commonly available type. Make no mistake, these are very rare bits of kit. There is very little availability of this unit type in Europe and the UK. All our used flat racks are fully inspected and come with a minimum of 12months validity on the CSC plate.
Flat rack containers are used for the transportation of cargo with awkward orunique dimensions which means it cannot be placed inside a standardshipping container. They come in two sizes; 20ft flat rack container and 40ftflat rack container. Both sizes come with either collapsible or fixed ends (bothtypes available). These are rare bits of kit, therefore stock levels are subject toavailability. Available in both NEW and USED condition and from our London & Birmingham depots. Flat rack containers do not have side walls and NO roof. They are a great option to transport awkward or oversized cargo around the world. Unlike standard containers, these special units can be loaded by a crane. This allows for abnormally large loads to be shipped on them. To keep the cargo secureon the ‘deck’, lashing rings are used to strap the cargo down using cargo straps or chains, which are securely fastened to the corner posts and ‘deck’ of the flat rack.
