Shipping & Delivery Policy

Effective Date: June 26, 2026

Effective Date: June 26, 2026 Last Updated: June 26, 2026

United States Container Express ("we," "us," or "our") ships shipping containers, conex boxes, and modified container products to customers throughout the contiguous United States. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how delivery works, what to expect, and your responsibilities as the buyer.

1. Delivery Coverage

We deliver to all 50 U.S. states. Standard delivery uses a tilt-bed truck (also known as a roll-off or step-deck truck), which sets the container directly onto your prepared site without requiring a crane.

Delivery is not available to:

  • P.O. boxes
  • Locations without legal road access for a Class 8 tractor and trailer (approximately 75 feet of straight clearance and 14 feet of vertical clearance)
  • International destinations (we are a domestic U.S. supplier)

For deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories, please contact us at sales@usaconex.com for a custom freight quote.

2. Order Processing Time

After your order is paid in full and cleared:

  • In-Stock Units: Processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days
  • Customized or Modified Units: Processed within 1–3 business days depending on modifications
  • Reefer / Refrigerated Units: Processed within 1–3 business days

You will receive an order confirmation by email within 24 hours of payment, and a delivery scheduling call within 2 business days.

3. Estimated Delivery Times

Once dispatched, transit times vary by destination:

Delivery ZoneEstimated Transit Time
Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina1–3 business days
North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana1–3 business days
Texas, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana1–3 business days
Northeast & Midwest U.S.1–3 business days
Mountain & West Coast U.S.1–3 business days

These estimates are not guarantees. Weather, road conditions, permitting, and carrier availability may extend delivery windows.

4. Delivery Costs

Shipping is calculated based on:

  • Delivery ZIP code
  • Container size and weight
  • Site accessibility
  • Time of year and fuel surcharges

The exact delivery cost is included in your written quote before you pay. We do not add hidden fees after the order is placed.

5. Site Preparation — Your Responsibility

Before the delivery date, the buyer must ensure:

  1. Clear access road — minimum 12 feet wide, 14 feet of overhead clearance, no overhanging branches or low wires
  2. Adequate turning radius — approximately 100 feet of straight clearance for the delivery truck
  3. Level placement area — firm ground (gravel, concrete, or compacted dirt) capable of supporting the container's weight
  4. Permits secured — any required local permits are the buyer's responsibility
  5. An adult representative on-site — to direct placement and sign the delivery receipt

If the driver arrives and the site is inaccessible, the buyer is responsible for any rescheduling, redelivery, and dry-run fees charged by the carrier (typically $300–$800 depending on distance).

6. Delivery Day Process

  1. The driver will call 30–60 minutes before arrival
  2. The buyer or buyer's representative must be present to direct placement
  3. The driver will tilt the bed and slide the container into position
  4. The buyer must inspect the container immediately and sign the bill of lading
  5. Any visible damage must be noted on the bill of lading before the driver leaves

7. Damage at Delivery

If the container arrives with visible damage that was not disclosed at the time of sale:

  • Note the damage on the bill of lading in writing before signing
  • Take photos from multiple angles
  • Contact us within 48 hours at sales@usaconex.com or +1 (727) 699-2766

We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include partial refund, replacement, or repair, in line with our Refund & Returns Policy.

Damage not noted on the bill of lading is significantly harder to dispute, so please inspect carefully on arrival.

8. Title & Risk of Loss

Title and risk of loss transfer to the buyer upon delivery and signature of the bill of lading.

9. Delivery Delays

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather events (hurricanes, snowstorms, flooding)
  • Carrier strikes or fuel shortages
  • Road closures or permit issues
  • Customer-caused rescheduling

We will communicate any delays as soon as our carrier notifies us.
